Members of the Blooming Prairie Police Department won’t just be patrolling the streets in SUVs this summer.

The target date is April 25 for many farmers and producers in southern Minnesota to start planting this year’s crops. The goal is to be done by May 1. And so far the weather is playing its part.

Friends Callan Paffrath and Michael Wurdeman, of Owatonna, are one of the eight couples competing in the Dancing With Our Steele County Stars on Saturday, April 25, at the Medford High School Auditorium. The two will perform a Lindy Hop to the song “Getting in the Mood” by the Brian Setzer Orchestra and have two flips in their routine.
