Kenneth O. Stensvold
Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 23, at Trinity Lutheran Church near Blooming Prairie for Kenneth O. Stensvold of Owatonna and formerly of Blooming Prairie. Mr. Stensvold died Friday, Jan. 20, at Homestead Hospice House. He was 74.

John 'Jack' Marcott


A celebration of life for John (Jack) L. Marcott of Eugene, Ore. And formerly of Blooming Prairie, will be held Saturday, Feb. 18, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Oregon Air Space Museum in Eugene, Ore. Mr. Marcott died Jan. 13 in Eugene surrounded by his family. He was 85.

Marian Strong
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 25, at First Lutheran Church in Blooming Prairie for Marian Strong of Blooming Prairie. Visitation will be at Worlein-Blooming Prairie Funeral Home from 4 to 7 p.m. today (Tuesday) and for one hour at the church prior to the service. Mrs. Strong died Saturday, Jan. 21, at her home. She was 76.

Outside the Lines: Bp girls lead local sports round-up
It really has been an up and down season for both basketball teams this year, although the girls have been just a little more constant in their play. A four-game winning streak was on the line for the girls when they entertained Mankato Loyola Saturday afternoon, and their win over the Crusaders made it number five.
